Charlotte's Story

On September 12, 2012, we were blessed with our firstborn baby, Charlotte Teresa. We were thrilled with our chubby, squishy little girl!

When Charlotte was only a few weeks old, she started slowly losing the ability to swallow.  After a number of doctor and hospital visits, she was diagnosed with Acid Reflux. Her symptoms worsened until a specialized paediatrician realized our baby girl was fighting for her life. She was rushed, yet again, to our local hospital where they soon diagnosed her with something much more severe - Epilepsy.

Our lives seemed shattered. After understanding this specific type of Epilepsy was rare and untreatable, Charlotte was given only a few short months to live, but by God's goodness, He preserved her until two days after her fifth birthday.

Oh, what a joy she was to our family! Although the pain of loss during and after her life brought us deep sadness and grief, the beauty and blessings of her life shone even brighter. We were honoured to be "Charlie's" parents, and are now proud to name our farm in her memory, Charlotte Farms.
